Growing Together” by local Goreng Goreng artist Jacob Sarra explores the enduring bond between a father and his two daughters, capturing love, connection, and shared journeys through evocative artworks.

About the artist Jacob Sarra is a proud Goreng Goreng man, born and raised on Yuggera land.

His work is heavily influenced by his connection to the land and sky. Another great source of inspiration is his family.

Mr Sarra says, “I am particularly drawn to bright colours and bold patterns, which are often reflected in my pieces.

“I am a firm believer in the power of experimentation and play in the artistic process. I often incorporate unconventional materials and techniques into my work, which allows me to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of my craft.”
