Book an Adventure at Yamanto Central – Book Week 2025

Children’s Book Week is Australia’s annual celebration of stories, reading, and imagination and this year, Yamanto Central is bringing the adventure to life!

We’ve teamed up with Amberley District State School to showcase five over-sized, hand-decorated books, each lovingly designed by students and educators to reflect this year’s theme.

🌟 This year’s creations include:

1. Books That Take Us on an Adventure – by the youngest members – ADSS’s play group.

2. A Pirate Treasure Hunt – a journey to discover hidden wonders. (Agh! Are you Ready to Read)

3. We Celebrate NAIDOC Week at ADSS – honouring culture, history, and stories.

4. Hot Air Balloon Adventure – where every book lifts us to new heights.

5. Our Defence Kids Adventures – stories and experiences from students connected to Defence families.

These stunning art pieces are created by kids, for the community,  a wonderful mix of creativity, teamwork, and storytelling.

📍 Find them on display at Yamanto Central for the whole community to enjoy from Friday 15th August 2025, to Friday 22nd August 202 near Dusk!

We invite students, families, and local residents to come along, snap a photo, and celebrate the joy of reading while supporting the incredible efforts of Amberley District State School.
